Sunrise Trip: Tongariro Alpine Crossing 2018-06-19T03:54:52+00:00

Sunrise Premium Group – Tongariro Alpine Crossing

Be the First!

Wake up, get hiking and watch the sunrise from the Tongariro Alpine Crossing.

Your guide will take you safely along the track to the best spots in time to view the sunrise. On clear, crisp nights the milky way and shooting stars twinkle under the pre-dawn sky. As the sun comes up the colours and textures of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing are unveiled and you are rewarded for your early morning wake up.

The route taken on the Guided Sunrise Tour may vary from the standard route of Mangatepopo to Ketetahi. The reverse route (Ketetahi to Mangatepopo), or a Mangatepopo return trip may be chosen by the guides. We choose the route based on weather conditions, the time of year and your needs and ability.
