Canoe Trips Whanganui River

2-5 Days

Adrift Tongariro can assist your school group in a safe and fun trip on the Whanganui River. Gently paddle on river while basking in the unspoilt beauty of the National Park.

The Whanganui River is an extremely safe river to navigate. However, a few small rapids along the way make the trip challenging and exciting for school-age kids. Durign the trip, we can include activities such as: walking over the famous Bridge to Nowhere; staying on a marae; and outdoor cooking and camping under the stars. This trip is the ultimate for team building and leadership development.

Outdoor Electives

1 Day

The Outdoor Electives programme gives students an opportunity to experience outdoor activities which may not be offered at school. Such activities include caving, kayaking, horse riding, fishing, mountain biking, river rafting, surfing, sailing, high ropes courses, paintball, and cultural and thermal visits.

The outdoor electives are ideal for extra large groups and are a good substitute for school camps.

We can take entire year groups at a time. For example, we organise ~450 17-year-olds each year for a large and highly respected college in Auckland.
